Massive flooding has already claimed numerous lives, to include a 13-year-old boy who instructed his rescuers to save his 10-year-old brother first. He and his mother ended up drowning. Interestingly, the story was also linked from "Sailing Anarchy", where the "The incident led police to warn that blow-up dolls were not recognised floatation devices" line was especially ridiculed. BTW, the correct spelling is "flotation", even in Oz.

I'm on the fence on this one. If my only chance of survival depends on my decision to ride on a few of these, I would probably go for it... Then again, if they just did it for s#its and giggles, shame on them for taking resources away from more pressing matters.

This definitely isn't one of those "let's make light out of the situation" moments. I'm almost glad they got trapped. Serves them right for thinking a natural disaster is just a giant board game. And the public doesn't need to know about their sex-lives either. Morons...

It was heartbreaking to read the story of 13-year-old Jordan Rice, who sacrificed his life to save his 10-year-old brother. We have two boys those ages, and I don't what we'd do if anything happened to either of them.

Jordan is a real hero, and I pray that he rests in the arms of God, as does his mother who was also lost!

I also hope relief from these terrible floods come soon, and that all our friends in Australia are safe!

Yeah i'm ok. No real chance of flood where I am. If anything will get us it will be a bushfire, we are right next to a mountain range.

Most of us are still here, 20 confirmed dead and about 100 missing. If the flash flooding had of happened at night, the death toll would have been horrendous.

I like how they "updated" the story. the original story didn't mention anything about rescuers being diverted from more pressing rescues. Maybe the Herald Sun should verify the story before jumping in on the sensational wagon and providing incomplete info. So if the beauty and the moron actually did endanger other people then yes they should be punished but if not being butt naked and thought of as idiots is punishment enough.

No, it's true. We have a third of our state (Victoria) flooded. Those SES (State Emergency Service) Volunteers could have been put to use elsewhere, saving people that needed saving from floodwaters, not their own stupidity.
