I was unaware of Crashy until just now. Other then seeing your avatar that is, which I couldn't comprehend.... very cool! The Yaris as a pickup looks pefect, obviously meant to be.

I just completed putting a dump bed on my Dodge flatbed, it's the same hydraulic setup I had on another truck for 12 years. Bought from Northern Hydraulics, it'd be too much for Crashy, but I'd be happy to PM you some pics showing the geometry of how they work, no use re-inventing the wheel. Once you see the dynamics of it, where the cylinder is, the hinge points, etc., you'll see it would lend itself to being home brewed. Hell I can just post a couple pics here if anyone else is interested.
