Who charged you $130 to install a $20 belt?
I have the NST 10%UD pulley. I have always had a squeal on cold startup with this pulley. Can't get rid of it with belt replacement or adjusting tension. Can't say as the pulley is destroying the belt tho. Wife did once gun it out of the driveway cold with the A/C on. Belt squealed so bad I could smell the rubber wafting up the driveway. That wasn't good. As far as improving F/E, haven't noticed a lick of difference. Engine does spin up quicker, and this is with A/T.

The stealership. ![]() I took it in to the dealership because I was really concerned about the squeaking. I was worried I ruined something on the belt because it never made this sound before, and not matter what tension I put on the belt it would squeak. I took it in and told them I had a squeak in my drive belt whenever the engine gets hot, they said they would look at it. I wait a bit, and they come back and say "So you need a new drive belt. That's going to cost 150 bucks." I said yes because if I did mess it up I figured they could do it right. I feel kinda cheated out of 150 bucks because my drive belt was probably fine. If the squeak is normal with a light pulley then that's okay. I was just concerned about it since my car has never squeaked or rattled or anything. It's not really noticeable anyway. I hope to combo the pulley kit with a lightweight flywheel to really make it rev more freely.

![]() Mine started squealing about a week after I installed it. Replaced the belt after realizing that there'd be no way for me to get rid of it without replacing the belt. $18 and 10 minutes later and I've been squeak-free!
