CRAPPY RADIATOR
Hello guys, yesterday I was taking a ride with my family on my 2008, 150k kmts yaris advance, and I decided to cut short the ride beacuse heavy rain, when I got home I park my car backwards, so I had to cross in front of the car to get to the house, and to my surprice when I passed in from of the grill, something burn my leg, it was a leak from the radiator...
And yes, it drain all the water from the engine in few minutes, and glad it happend in my house, and I notice it, other wise I could of start the engine with no water, and since this nice cars have no temperture indicator, just "before burnig" light who knows what could of happent. But when I called the dealer today to find out the price, beacuse sometime they have good prices, the said $ 800.00, you have to be nuts, just for the radiator. And as you can see, man, itīs such as nice plastic thing. The hole is in the front left bottom of the fins, son was not in a part that you can repair. Only visible when the water was getting out. I got a replica, that fitted just like the original one for $97.00 and have replaced for $80.00. Itīs disappointing to have this failing so early !!! |
