I have no idea as to if that is a good price, but what's involved is pulling the axle to gain access to the seal and then pulling and replacing the seal.
You have to first drain the tranny fluid (or gear oil). Once that is done, the easiest way to remove the axle is to disconnect the strut from the steering knuckle and the strut support from the knuckle as well. Then you can pivot the knuckle enough to have clearance for pulling the axle out of the tranny.
