I rode my ST1100 over that stretch of road in 2000. Had to detour north east to Big Lake the winds were blowing 40 mph out of the south and I was heading east. I was tired of riding at a 45 degree angle to the winds which were gusty.

Yeah I never drove my Yaris under those conditions!

But I DID drive 1400 miles from Minneapolis to Philly non stop in 14 hours without a problem. No wind.

Do the math!
