They've done it over and over again. Any time they feel the price is lower than what they want it to be, all they have to do is give their guys a day off. Sometimes they give an excuse (maintenances, mechanical failure, etc.), but most of the time there's no good reason other than supply control.

Until the demand is permanently reduced, you might as well grab another bottle of K-Y and assume the position.
