acetone will eat away at any rubber seals or plastics it gets in contact with. but yeah, you will get improved mileage, but your engine will fail much earlier. Your choice...

I had a bad experience using acetone on our 04' 4-Runner. Coincidence? Possibly, but a blown head gasket at 26,000 miles shouldn't happen. I can't explain what happened, I just won't try it again. And yes, acetone will eat rubber and your paint if your not careful.
