Nice. How much did the tax/title/license bring the total to?

I got my 2door LB two weeks ago for $14,700 out the door (tax/title/etc included).

My mom decided to get one too.... lol she got one a few days ago for $14,473 out the door

Always talk "out the door price." It's very easy to add on other items after the cost of the car. If you want the $400 off for dealer financing, take it and pay it off after you get the car.

If you doubt the price, you can go to another dealer and start all over and see what they offer.

$10,700 for a mint '08 metalic silver sedan with less than 8000 miles. I have to roll the windows up myself, but I for the 5k+ saved, not much problem there. I added cruise for about $200.

Look for a cherry used car...pay 1/3 less....

If this will help anyone, here's the deal I helped my son get on his Yaris. I'm not saying it was a "killer deal," just putting this out as information that may help other buyers.

As you can see, the sticker was $16,514. We got the dealer to come down to $200.00 over invoice, which lowered the price from $16,514 to $15,755. Yes, we were shown the invoice. Toyota contributed the $1000 rebate, bringing the price down to $14,755.

Of course, there was the "rip-off fee" that all dealers charge and call the "processing fee," or some other name. In this case, it was $199.50. Sales tax was $885.30, and license and transfer fee was $35.00.

I really like the option package that this car had. OK, my son could have done without the $150 carpeted floor mats, but they do look really nice, and the word "Yaris" is stitched into the fabric in the corners, which is pretty classy.

I think this will be a great little car, and I have the itch to get one for myself, but my Cobalt is only about nine months old, so it is not a good time for me to be trading. Besides, I do like the Cobalt a lot.

Hope this information is useful to folks.

God bless.

Tom

Hey, you live really close to me! I'm in Muhlenberg County.

Anyway, I can see Hudson is doing the same thing the Hopkinsville dealership did to me. Yes, they showed you a piece of paper that said "Invoice" at the top with a Toyota logo, but is it a real invoice? Nope. Invoice price for a new base sedan is about $14,500.

You still got a good deal, though.

Hi, Twit! I am also in Muhlenberg County! COOL!

What I posted was just a copy of the window sticker, not the invoice.

According to Emunds.com, the invoice price would have been $15,386 without the carpeted floor mats and the bumper protection. For some reason Edmunds does not show those options when you price a Yaris with options. So, if Hudson was showing me $15,555 as invoice, they were probably being honest.

Thanks, Tom! This is very helpful for those of us looking into buying a new car in the future.

I just wanted to say I have Yaris mats, and they really do look nice with the cute little Yaris logo embroided into the carpet. Nice touch. Don't think about the $150 anymore, it was worth it. :)

I wish the underside of the mats had better traction. Every time after I passenger gets out, I have to re-adjust the mats since it's all over the place sliding around.

Be happy you don't have a MT, then, because when the mat slides under the clutch pedal just a little bit, you can't start your car at all! Happened to me the day after I bought the Yaris, took me a while to figure out what the problem was. Fortunately, there is a little hook on the driver side and if you stick the mat in there, it won't move.

I have now bought little rubber truck matts to protect the factory mats underneath. Yeah, I know that may be a little anal, but I don't wan to ruin the factory mats (at $150, I want to keep them looking nice as long as possible!)

thanks for the info. this is just what I needed to know when looking for the same type

that looks like it is a really good deal though, might be hard to match but i will try

EDIT: pretty much matched it: got the same thing for 15k + tax and fees at 0%
this info helped. thanks! (also cars.com was a huge help - you can request a quote from every dealership around you with just a few clicks! chances are you'll get a good quote and if not just start a bidding war)

I bough mine almost 2 weeks ago. 2009 Yaris 3dr, White, 5spd, 20 miles(one test drive)
I paid $11,900 +TT&L
Car came with Cruise Control, 5 Floor Mats, and the Convenience Package.
Dealer also included 36,000 miles of oil changes for free.

I did not purchase any extra add on from the dealer.
Ordered TRD rear sway, Tanabe Front Upper Brace, and Eibach Springs. Hope to be installing that stuff tomorrow.

I am surprsied how much I love this car, and this forum.

I bought mine two weeks ago as well- Bayou Blue Pearl, 2009 5 door hatchback.

Dealer listed the price with all the options as $15,770. I did a search and that seems pretty accurate for what I got- power package plus some little extras. Their selling price was $12,975- a "hot on the lot" special + the toyota $1000 rebate going on at the end of May. All together it was $14,339.

I think I ended up with a good deal- I wouldn't have been able to afford anything more expensive which means I probably wouldn't have gotten a Yaris since I wanted all the airbags and ABS that weren't standard before 2009 in the US, and used cars with these options included were about the same price as I paid for new.

I'm totally loving my car.
