It comes second half of the 2012 in Europe. Car manufacturing begins in France Valencienne, which is not so good thing.

i just wet myself.....
Probably the only hybrid shape i LIKE! I like the LED tail lights in the rear. If i ever end up overseas...im owning this for sure. Yes, in latest CarTop magazines, the Hybrid Fit is gaining popularity..but the question is....for how long?? The CRZ was a hit in Japan, not so many people buying it nowadays in Japan.. And KAL is right...Toyota still covers most consumers who are able to own a car in Japan. Not Honda or Nissan... Have you seen Toyota MegaWeb in Japan? Nothing compared to Nissan HQ Gallery and Honda's building in Japan.... |

I happen to think the Hybrid version looks better than the non-hybrid. I like the front end better.

+1 most definitely. The rear could still look better in both cases though.

I'm not sure about the grill. But I wouldn't mind getting an extra 10 MPG, hehehe... Gas price are well over $4.00 in SF right now. Hybrids are starting to look attractive to me.

At least you may be given the choice. As usual, the US looks sh*t out of luck on this option. But that's still to be determined.
Looks like we'll get the Prius C which would be a similar class offering as this Yaris hybrid. For the American market, there's never much overlapping, while other countries are given countless options - especially when it comes to small cars. |

Too small + too expensive for your market over there. Toyota tried to make the Yaris as cheap as possible for your market. The HSD will not fit.

Okay... really going out there with this one, but has Toyota ever actually said that we'd get this new generation Yaris in North America?
I can foresee a scenario where they kill off the Yaris in this market, and then later start marketing a modified version of this hybrid as the "new" Prius C. Just my $ .02 speculation at this point... |

So you can probably count on the standard gas 2012 Yaris to arrive here later this year. |

I think that sure looks a lot like a 2012 Yaris under all that camouflage...
