How many questions did you all know for a fact you didn't know the answers? I would say 6 to 8

It works now!

if you want my opinion, I don't think the nerds crashed the computer, I think the computer was confused because of some recent unexpected visitors
Probably doesn't happen much

Just the right amount of awkwardness:

Who else had a hard time choosing between Internet & sex?

Slightly dorky Nerd God

It's interesting to see that these tests have gotten updated. Older nerd tests were skewed because they asked about some really old technologies, like paper tape. I've seen a paper tape machine, but I've never seen one working. It doesn't make me less dorky because I some of the tech is before my time.

I could be even nerdier if I had more free time, but having a three year old takes most of that up. Although some would argue that having reproduced lowers my nerd cred.

And yes, I do have a nerdier-than-thou attitude.

Hmmm.... Paper tape. When I was a 'puter tech in London ('76) that was state-of-the-art, baby.

Learned on punch cards and fixed XEROX 2.5 Meg 14" hard drives among the more arcane stuff I used to fix!
