If they made a Hummer with the Yaris's MPG would you buy it?

Suppose technology got so good overnight that GM came out with a 29/36 mpg rated Hummer, that was also the same price as the Yaris.

Would you buy it?

No, they are still ridiculous. I'll take a Jeep anytime, even the newer, minivan-engined JKs (but I would prefer a TJ/LJ!)...

If GM had built the H4 I would have taken one over the Yaris any day...I have no interest in Chinese Hummer.

My Yaris Liftback is a perfect fit for my lifestyle. Anything larger than a Yaris would be unnecessary for me, so that's a no for a Hummer--even if it did get good MPG.

No, I wanted a small hatchback so I wouldn't trade even.

The other thing is the whole "Hummer Image" thing-just because of it's history it screams "look at me-I'm swimming in excess!" I'll pass.

My dream car is the original H1. So if it looked like an H1 and cost the same amount as a Yaris, and got the same MPG, hell yeah I'd buy one.

But that's never going to happen so bleh.

No.
I have NO need for a Hummer, plus where would I park the damn thing?
On the other hand, I'd definitely consider a traditional pick-up truck . A pick-up can be real useful. But if I got it now, I'd run into the same parking problem.
I think I'd sooner get a SMART than a Hummer, any day. The Hummer is just ridiculous.

It would still take way too many resources to make, handle extremely poorly, be too large to park anywhere (especially in my garage), and I have absolutely no need to project a "crush my neighbor" mentality.

No, thanks.
