$2009 Grassroots Challenge

Well 3 of my real close friends have been competing in this event for the past 2 years. For anyone that doesn't know the idea of the challenge is to buy car and have it be fast, handle and look good with a budget of $2009 including the price of the car. Sounds tough but still very possible. Well my boys were able to get a nice deal on a early 90's Turbo Supra for somwhere around $850, if i remember right. I driven this car before and i can attest to how fast it is. I started a thread a while ago before the hack. Keep in mind that they are allowed to sell parts off the car to bring their budget down, and a lot of the work was done by them. A lot of man hours went into the car. Check it out at the link above.
