New to Forum -suspension question!!
Hi there,
I have a 2007 Yaris sedan and it has about 62k on it. Recently I've noticed that the driver side rear is "creaking?" when I drive over bumps or in particular, turn my wheel to the right. What the heck is going on back there? I've tried bouncing each bumper up and down and the spring seems to be okay, but that one wheel seems to creak! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

Get some dry spray lubricant and spray areas that rub or swivel. Work it in by bouncing the suspension.

NF210
I have used the nf210 springs on several builds and they do not stand the test of time.. After 30k miles. they began to sag. and at 50. the ass of the car was almost an inch lower then when I started.. Go with a better product.

Anybody else had this happen with their NF210? I was thinking about putting those on mine, but don't want to if they aren't going to last long.

Tanabe is a quality product.
I haven't heard any complaints on the NF210's so I'd say that maybe he had bad springs? |

^ after selling them for three years, have not had one first hand account of sagging or failing.

Glad to hear that, though now that I've noticed these spiffy Micro Image springs I just might go for those instead...

I had ordered the MI springs but where I live the roads are so bad that I curse while I drive in some areas. lol
So, I went with a softer spring:( Would love to rock those MI springs some day! |

The bumpiness is the main thing I worry about. I live in Alabama, so the roads around here are made for people with big-anus trucks. What brand did you go with sleey? Got any pictures of yours? I feel like my car is just way too high and I'd like to drop it about an inch or so.

I had MI springs a while ago and they were nice springs. If I can handle them in Michigan, I know for a fact you can handle them in Alabama :)

for just an inch of drop, the NF210 is the only spring.
DF210, MI, Tein, all are close to 2" drop. TRD is a good middle ground with about 1.5"

H&R as well as B&G make progressive sprimgs that drop 1.4". I haven't put the nf's on yet so I can't comment.

As usual, thanks for the advice Garm. I think I'll go with those NF210s and some of those Tokico blues. There are a lot of steep hills and whatnot around here and I don't want to drag that shiny exhaust :) Also, I think I'll upgrade the suspension before buying that body kit that I emailed you about earlier. First on the list though is one of those AFE intakes... gah so many mods... so little money...

am I missing something? I don't see nf210s mentioned before your post, which happens to be your first and only? Competitor bot?
