Yaris paint quality
Does a dark color yaris scratch as easy as the paint on the echo ?
I was thinking about getting a black yaris.....but if it scratches as easy as my dark blue echo....forget it...I'll go with the silver. |

my polar white on has about 15 chips from road "crap" (ie; stones, "hard dirt") where as the only paint missing on the 99 blazer is from where I've side swipped logs, and from where my bumper has hit/dug into ditches and larger rocks (from off roading).
But I think the issue is not really the quality of the yaris paint but the fact that it is an extremely "thin" paint job.

It seems like the paint quality is not the same on all cars - regardless what color it is. My wife has a blue Echo and not a single chip on the paint, my new Yaris (orange) chips so easily - I'm just scared. The smallest impact with metal objects will chip the paint right away.

cheap paint process is a typical complaint among many toyotas right now. my sienna has the same paint issues, but it doesnt seem as bad as others on these forums. im thinking a darker color would acutally be better, since the paint nicks on my white sienna show up as dark pock marks. we're hoping our ordered black yaris hides these paint chips a little better than our white sienna.

The paint on my Yaris is as bad as the paint on my cousin's Scion xA. I got a small chip from a rock on the highway and the chip started to grow. I hope Toyota can fix it. Dunno how much it's gonna cost.

I honestly do not think the paint quality on my Nautica Blue sedan is bad. I have close to 14,000 miles on it already. Yes I have nicks, but it's not as bad as formers car's I've owned. None of us want nicks or chips, but it's going to happen no matter what.

I have a Black Sand Pearl Yaris and the paint quality is good.
