My view...............

Friend commented recently on how much he liked how I have setup my"stuff" in my car. Thought I would share it.

This is my view as I drive, GPS (Hardwired) and UltraGuage in glove box behind steering wheel. Wires come out the front of the glove box and chase down the steering column, lid closes, np.

Radar Detector mounted on and below rear view mirror (Hardwired). I tucked the RD wire into the headliner only I didn't remove the A pillar air bag cover, the more I read about those clips holding the cover in place the less interested I was in messing with them.

There is a "rubber" trim piece that is between the air bag cover and rest of the A pillar that runs all the way down the inside of the forward door jamb. Pulled that out a little bit at a time and chased the RD wire all the way down to the fuse box.

GPS and RD are both on Add-A-Fuses 2 or 3 amps ea.

*Hat tip to shaggyone at planet-9.com for the radar detector mount idea.

cheers

BTW- My view is much clearer than this pic appears to be..................

I have a LB manual. My gauge is the same as the OP's. The tachs came on the autos, not the manuals. Go figure...

My manual transmission base model has a tach, but its 3rd gen. Maybe the 2nd gen base models didn't.

I gather when imported from Japan, the yaris center cluster was left as is, & they simply just swapped sides for the steering wheel.

Possibly. But mine isn't a base model.

I think it's a sedan vs LB thing, not a manual vs auto. Sedan's have tachs.
