Money-eating Yaris
While I've opted to learn to love the Yaris (again, after a brief fling with a rental car), there are certain design features that will ALWAYS drive me crazy... Another discovered yesterday: those little storage areas below and on either side of the center console? Dropped a quarter and some other change in there till I had time to put it in my purse... GONE! Slipped under the plastic base, never to be seen again. Already the seat ate my Visa!
It's a cute little car with great gas mileage, but certain things leave me SMH. |

I put my car wash tokens in one of the compartments .... I have yet to lose them. Time will tell what happens. Overall I love my Yaris .. as I have yet to find anything that really drives me nuts.

I think the only thing I've found myself complaining about is the size of the doors. The doors on the 3 door hatch are enormous. They're more like wings than doors so, I'm always worried about denting cars I park next to. The many compartments, including the ones on the sides of the center console, were actually selling points for me. I think the Yaris is more space efficient and roomy than bigger cars like the Scion TC.

I like the 3 door size. It makes getting in and out easier. I usually keep the coin in the steering wheel compartment.

@otterhere: Think of your Yaris as the biggest piggy bank you've ever had and it will make things slightly more bearable.

Or look at it this way, every time you lose a quarter in there, your Yaris is worth 25¢ more!
Cheers! M2

Any car could have done that to you.
Focus on what makes the Yaris good for you. For me the Yaris is about spending $25 on gas every two weeks. While others spend $50. Gettting 0% fianacing for five years. Spending $10,000 less for a car. Owning it for 15 years instead of 10. Thats how you learn to live with the disappointments.

Good advice: accentuate the positive! That, and it's already paid for, vs. the pretty green Mazda2 for which I'd have to shell out another $8k...
