Antifreeze leak on intake manifold near TB
I tried searches but didn't come up with anything like my problem.
I found this antifreeze buildup on the black plastic intake manifold. Its near the throttle body. It appears that the antifreeze is slowly leaking out of the intake manifold in this area and making little stalactites. Does anybody know what this is?

Try to get a pressure tester and put pressure on the system. It will drip out where the leak is coming from. There's no coolant passages in the intake manifold. I work at Toyota and have never seen a leak right there. It way be leaking from above or even a pinhole spraying to there. Best bet is to apply pressure to the system and see if you have a leak and where its coming from.

that second picture is the coolant lines for the throttle body...maybe there's a slight leak in that hose going into the throttle body. bypass those coolant lines on the block, and see if that stops it? all those do is heat the air in the throttle body for super cold weather.

Does it drip with the engine running? If not its not something that needed to be fixed ASAP.

Thanks everybody. After I posted the picture I remembered spilling some coolant around there when I changed it. I haven't looked in the engine compartment too hard since I changed the coolant. I thought I sopped it up. This seems like too much stalactite material if that is the case.
I'll wipe it off when I get a chance and see if it appears again. I'll check it when its hot, I figure that creates pressure in the system. And keep my eye on the coolant level. Cool, its good to know there's no passages in the manifold. I was worrying it was seeping out of a passage through a bad seam. I'll reply to this thread if there is a leak.

Too, spray bottle with water will moisten (and sometimes just remove) for easy removal of the pink/orange crusties...

It was the radiator cap. The level started going down faster and new white spots showed up coming from the cap. I rented a pressure tester but it didn't have an adapter that fitted my cap or my radiator. I drove a long ways with the new cap and it-no-leaky :)
Thanks everybody! The overflow tank was empty, how do I know if I have a bubble in my system?
