Back From the Dead, er Red....
Redyaris here.
After selling my Yaris a while back and having spent time in a Honda Ridgeline POS, just checking back in here with the Yaris peeps and showing off my new Kia Soul + (in Inferno Red of course). Also included, a pic of the modded Yaris for old times sake. I still miss it.

LOL. TK.
Going a different route on the Soul but check out that chrome lip on the rims (I couldn't resist).

Nice to have you back on the board. Not much of a Korean car fan, but you've got that Soul looking good! Like the rims.

After the Yaris sale, I bought a Mitsu Eclipse Spyder for the wife and took over her Toyota Sienna XLE Limited van.
Drove that for a couple of years hauling my daughter and her stuff around then decided I needed a truck. Didn't want a full-blown gas guzzler so went for a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Bad decision. Really bad decision. HORRIBLE gas mileage (12 - 15 around town), limited towing and little to no off road capability. The engine started this insane vibration too while idiling. It literally shook my rear view mirror like a subwoofer would. Not to mention a couple of broken motor mounts, an AC system that continually lost refrigerant, a headliner that fell down, and a sunroof that was so slow to close I got scared to open it. I did bling it out some though. Chrome bull bar/Chrome mirror covers and Chrome OEM accessory wheels (see pic). I will never consider a Honda again. Ended up ditching it for the 2015 Soul +. Kia has come a long way in the last 5 years. I hope it's gonna be good. Just popping in to YW see who was still here. Good to see a few familiar faces (even Black Yaris!). Maybe i'll hang around for a while. I'm on the Kia Soul Forum as FLSOUL BTW. Not much activity over there.

Did you get it with the LED tail lights? Kia and the other Korean Manufacturers have definitely improved over the decade. Hope this one will be a keeper for you. I couldn't believe the Ridgeline was such a lemon.

I'm fairly confident that the Ridgeline is a North America product only, which may have some impact on the build quality or standards. I work with the Honda group at my plant and the Honda Global Team standards are really high for quality, but often times compromise has to be made to get product out the door. There's also the chance that these were issues that went undocumented on the production line, and would only get a recall/warranty notice if enough people took them to the dealership.
All that said, I'm generally impressed with the styling of recent Kias, specifically the Optima. The Soul has always been an odd duck to me, something about the angles around the tail lights. |

Whoo congrats and glad to see you checking in! I miss the notorious chromed yaris in all it's blingedness! I've been anti-honda since high school and the first Fast and Furious came out, won't even touch a honda mower. I still got my Yaris, but it looks way different and will be installing my supercharger soon.
