took mine off last night and will be running stock until i get back. Had a problem with the fuel management. It ran ok for a day and then nothing. Oh well, I'm still driving and bringing her with me instead of flying. Just not fully done and someparts left off until I get back

Well it's official, Yarin's are a here !! Picked up Jill, (dvlnblkdrs), at the airport. We then met Mike (jumpmanyaris) and his girlfriend, Danielle, at the hotel. They came in separate cars, a blacked out "ghetto" sedan, which is "gawgess" and a Meteor Hatchback, who's wheels would look killer on my Meteor !! Mike, (kcalb siray), oh by the way, Jill filled me in on what his name means, it's so simple but yet so cryptic for a simple minded Nashvillian. Anyway Mike's drivin' a black hatchback with some very important cargo. Yes...Bamboo is in the house. He only made an appearance at dinner through a photo session, but Mike has assured us he will be showing himself periodically throughout the weekend. It was a great start to what's going to be a great weekend. For those who can't be here, we'll post pics frequently and often and for those arriving in the middle of the night and tomorrow morning, "climb on", we're headin' out to Mike Nacarato's tomorrow for a bbq. Couldn't unfortunately. Husband got switched to second shift a few weeks ago, my 30 year class reunion turned out to be this weekend and too many new puppies to care for. Just wasn't meant to be. I was really looking forward to seeing everyone though. Maybe next time.

Its to keep force on the front wheels. The car had a lot of trouble putting all the power to the track without it spinning. The wings keeps it glued to the track. It helped him beat the fwd record at Willow Springs by about 5 seconds

Well folks as you can see we had a line to get into the speedway on sunday, but the crowd's were half of what they were on saturday. That's a couple thousand down to a little below one thousand, still an event! Here's some pics. I had to leave early to get back to reality. It was great having the Yaris gang here in my hometown, Nashville. I'll finish with a picture of my meteor at Mike's house from friday's party.

First and foremost I would like to thank Mike for having us over to his house for the BB-Q and mini meet, as well as our unofficial official local tour guide and most gracious host Randy. In naddition to Import Alliance for throwing such a great meet. All I can say is if you were not there you missed out on one hellava great time. Everyone that was was there I think had a great time and walked away with a life long friend or two. By far the most cool meet that I have ever been to. Next years trip is allready under way in the planning stage so jump in early to turn this into what we can really call the YARiS World nationals. It was a greeat start but I know next years will be bigger a better. I know that i'm rambling but Desiree and I had a blast and look forward to more time to be spent with our new friends!

Did I mention the highlight of the show for me? No, well let me say it was being picked as one of the top three in the valve cover build off. I accutally made it for the final three out of all of the fantasic cars there. I was blown away. It was awsome to be able to represent YW in victory lane at Nashville. Crazy stuff. Military might lost out to pretty flowera and fish in the end, but wow that was cool.:biggrin:

Well the stories are true, it was a fantastic weekend! I'm so glad I took thursday and friday off. Though the heat and hunger got a piece of me on saturday, we had (9) Yaris together showing our econo pride!

Charles, John & Desiree, OJ & Danielle, Mike, Nolan, Alvi, and Jill, If ya'll PM me with your addresses I'll send you a disc with the 300 pics I converted last night. I took them down to 640 x 480 jpegs. I deleted just as many as I kept. I filled a 4gb flash card, and started on my 2gb XD card.

I'd play host to this this gang anytime!! It's been one of my most enjoyable weekends here in Nashville, in a long time. On a side note, next year there will be a local tax levied on water sales. John and Dez, looks the the price is gonna have to go up to cover your "local" palm greasing !
