FOR THOSE THAT PLAN TO ATTEND THE BBQ AT MY HOUSE...TO COVER THE COST OF FOOD, DRINKS, ETC.. EACH PERSON WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY $5. last year we had people say they werent gonna eat and later...like magic...got hungry and thirsty and all the food was gone. im sure everyone can dig up $5. think of it this way...its gonna be VERY hot and you will wanna drink some water. $5 for all you can drink water and soft drinks, and food! If you wanna swim in the pool, BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL!

the meet will take place either at the Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, TN on July 25-26. Also I usually host a BBQ at my place with a bunch of local
friends too so your welcome there, it would be on Friday the 24th, BUT it looks like the meet will take place on friday. I am not sure if a BBQ will interfere with the timeframe.

There will be food/drink vendors there but you can bring you own grill and do you own thing as well. I suggest bringing some foldable chairs and a tent as it gets very hot on the race track. There are professional drifters that will be there, dyno runs, and on track time trials for those who are interested, not to mention the change to see real road race cars race as well.

I know it is a long way away but I do suggest booking a hotel room at least 2 weeks in advance as they do fill up very fast close to the meet time.

I went to this on sunday this past year. What an awesome event !! Cars flying aroung the speedway track, cars being dyne tested, hundreds of modded street and track cars, etc... But, damn it was hot !! Bring plenty of sun screen and cold water !! Having this event at the Nashville Superspeedway is definitely a treat. I'll definitely be there. Last year I had the only Yaris there. Let's make a showing !!

So to entice you "trackies" even more, here's a pic of the speedway. Last year you started in pit row on the gray, then you would then turn to the left remaining on the gray road. Follow the gray through the sharp 180 degree plus turns, then crossing on to the black track on the backside straight. From here you would turn left and enter the gray section of turns when after the last turn you would cross over to the black track after the back straight , follow it past the pole remaining on the black track then crossing down to the gray track where you enter the set of turns again.

It was killer sitting on the pit wall watching cars of all kinds open it up on that long black track section. But it was really hot !!! 95 degrees, humid, and not a cloud in the sky.

There will be alot more for you'uns to do if you stay in town. You'll be closer to Mike's, who is having a cookout on friday night and near a lot more places to check out. The speedway is out in the middle of a field, near nothing.

I'll put together a few hotels you can check on that are in the area. They will be centrally located and just an "interstate" drive to the speedway for saturday's and sunday's event. Let me know what other "mischief" you may want to get into. I can always point a finger and get ya' there.

Bring your car and voice... After all it's Nashville, you may end up cutting a demo !!

I think somewhere convenient to the interstate for sure. Preferably close to food and drinks. We can drive to the speedway, but it would be best if we could walk to eat/drink. Not too expensive, but not the roach motel either.

What day is everyone planning on coming up?

The event is Fri, Sat, Sun or just Sat, Sun?

I just figured this is a big deal and we should get reservations made even if me/someone has to cancel later. Would hate to wait until the last minute and everything be full.
