1ZZ-FE Throttle Body $50

As excited as i was to do this mod , i've decided to sell my 1ZZ TB. I've tried everything under the sun to keep it from causing a CEL. I've only had it on my car for 2 weeks. It is a great mod for midrange and top end. Sounds incredible with an intake. I've just decided that i like the idea of not having a CEL. I'm just anal i guess. The rivets have already been drilled out so all you have to is drill the rivets out of your 1NZ-FE TB and swap your 1NZ chip over to the 1ZZ TB. I will still include the 1ZZ TB chip as well. This will throw CEL, there are some members on here that have this on their cars with no CEL. How they did this i have no idea. This TB will cause a high idle at cold start and a little oscillation. TB will be pulled off car on 03/31/2009 and be available for shipping 04/01/2009. Good luck and hopefully you have better luck than i did

Asking $50 shipped

@hatchbackkid82: what's the serial number on the bottom of the TB? I think the version of the chip may be at fault here.

i did this TB and the chip swap mod and havent seen a cel in 2 weeks and 1000 miles of driving. the chip swap works but you have to give it 2-3 days and some driving to go through its driving cycle for it to learn the re-reconfigured setup

I had no problems with this mod...this is a steal of a deal for one of the better mods you can do on a N/A yaris (IMHO)!

Someone needs to jump on this ASAP!

Just to clarify you DID do the chip swap, correct?

How many miles did you drive with the 1ZZ on WITH the chip swapped?

TIA

Did this mod. Man...what a difference!!! The 2500 rpm idle at start up only last 30 secs now, and the CEL has been gone for awhile. Car sounds awesome w/ CAI/header/TRD exhaust/new TB. Really winds out well. This is by far the best "bang for the buck" mod going.

No its not just for sound. The first post states it increases mid and top range performance.

Is this TB considered sold?

22030-0D031 5H17 01201 07G22. Are the numbers on the 1ZZ-FE TB chip. Ive disconnected the battery overnight. Re-connected the battery in the morning let it idle for a whole hour and still got a CEL. I think the longest it went with out getting a CEL is a day. I've driven it around for a whole week probably 300 miles within the week and still have the CEL on. It has not gone off. This has gotta be one of the most frustrating mods for this car. I did everything that was mentioned in the DIY. If you think you'll have better luck send me a PM.
