the arrest did not occur inside the home because Gates decided to take his beligerence outside as the cops were leaving and he wouldnt shut up and quit calling the cops racist, but not knowing the laws in MA, i still doubt any crime was committed. poor judgement would be the strongest thing BO should have said.
calling the arresting officer racist without knowing him was just as offensice to me. officer Crowley is the guy who administered cpr to try to save Reggie Lewis when he collapsed on a basketball court in 1993. by all accounts from everyone who knew him, he was bothered for a long time that he was unable to save him. i have a hard time thinking a racist would really give a crap. did he use poor judgement in the Gates case. it is quite possible, but i wasnt there.
