more like foot-in-mouth'er. obama needs to learn when to speak and when to keep his mouth shut. some subjects need no commentary from our nation's leader. he should spend more time answering questions about things that REALLY MATTER (like his health care plan)

He was right. The idea that the police would arrest Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his own home for committing no crime is downright depressing. The police officer that made the judgement call did act stupidly. Obama should have phrased it in a way that was more tactful.

the arrest did not occur inside the home because Gates decided to take his beligerence outside as the cops were leaving and he wouldnt shut up and quit calling the cops racist, but not knowing the laws in MA, i still doubt any crime was committed. poor judgement would be the strongest thing BO should have said.

calling the arresting officer racist without knowing him was just as offensice to me. officer Crowley is the guy who administered cpr to try to save Reggie Lewis when he collapsed on a basketball court in 1993. by all accounts from everyone who knew him, he was bothered for a long time that he was unable to save him. i have a hard time thinking a racist would really give a crap. did he use poor judgement in the Gates case. it is quite possible, but i wasnt there.

When did everybody lose there sense of humour around here. I voted for Obama and would vote for him again and I think its pretty funny. I would, however, be very curious to see comparison pictures of their jump shots...

True...that this situation excalated as it did and resulted in an arrest does seem to indicate something was strangely amiss. Maybe both parties "acted stupidly"....just as we are probably doing my trying to talk politics here on the mighty internet.

I'd much rather have a President that can read, write, comprehend and articulate as opposed to being athletic. You know, like being able to properly spell ASSESSMENT.

ha, good one!

1. the creator could at LEAST have spelled "assessment" correctly -- gee, I wonder which president could do that?
2. Bush's opening pitches didn't reach the plate with alarming regularity -- maybe we could compare that to his policies.

laughing at the whole thing -- good one and funny too.

I'd like to point out that both of these man are Harvard Graduates.

Believe it or not, Bush has a Harvard MBA, which is not given away like Cracker Jack Prizes. An MBA from Harvard and Wharton Business School (U. Penn) are considered the two top MBAs in the US.

You have to earn a Harvard MBA, and you earn it by doing lots and lots of tough projects in classwork. If anyone has proof that Bush bought his degree I'd like to hear it, and if it is possible to buy a Harvard Degree what does that tell you about the value of a Harvard Degree?

Most of the leadership at GM and most other major US firms contain Harvard MBAs. During the 1960s the "Whiz Kids" of the Kennedy Administration were Harvard Business school Alumni. Their leader, Robert McNamara, was a PhD who taught at the Harvard Business School. Nobody questioned their brains then or now, even though they made a mess of the Viet Nam War.

Bush was a failed business owner. A Harvard degree apparently isn't a guarantee of success.

A Havard JD, which Obama earned, is one of the top legal degrees in the US. Obama edited the Havard Law Journal, which is normally done by upper class Law Students at Harvard. I am not sure if the assignment of Editor is done by class standing or an election. I do know if Obama was top of his class we'd have heard it repeatedly. I have not heard so.

Obama was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review. He did some modest amounts of casework with his Harvard JD before going into politics. Harry Truman went into politics with a high school degree, which proves that you don't need a Harvard JD to do well in politics. Doesn't even help that much.

A Harvard degree apparently isn't a guarantee of of success, if Obama didn't use it to rise to the top ranks of the legal profession that he worked so hard to educate himself. He's not a lawyer, he's a politician.

To me all this photo montage shows is that Bush is more experienced at fast ball pitching, while Obama is probably less experienced. I got this suspicion that Obama would do a better job on a Basketball Court than Bush.

Both men profited politically from the "Housing Boom". Neither one is being held accountable for the resulting crash. Both screwed up handling it, with "stimulus packages" which were Pinatas for the monied classes. Neither one read the histories of the Great Depression, which clearly showed the "stimulus packages" do NOT do a damn thing for economic activity.

Pity that the American people could do better than either of these two.
