If your friend is open to you telling him exactly how you want your car to be driven then yes. If you don't like your friend's driving style and you don't think he'll listen to you if you ask him to not brake hard, etc., just tell him you're not insured, or a car is like a woman, and you don't lend your woman not even to your bestfriend, or whatever BS you ca think of. Bottom line is that it's understood that some people don't like to lend their cars. His feelings may be hurt a little, but eventually he'll understand. Lots of people don't let you drive their cars.
