^i highly suggest against downing two rockstars right before the drive. you'll just get a caffeine crash later. just get a decent amount of sleep and drink one rockstar (or other caffinated beverage) while you're driving. caffeine works best when you consume little amounts over long periods of time- not all at once.

my gf is in l.a., so i do this drive quite often alone (or with sleeping passengers) non-stop with just one cup of coffee consumed for the first half of the trip. but then again, i'm sorta entertained by the radio and somewhat busy with hypermiling.
