Uh, that 1.5 is not "low load/ low power engine". Its 70hp/L, If it was a ford 4.6 modular it would make 320+ HP. is that low output? NO.

Correct, I didn't say the 0W-30 was the Extended Life Oil. The Advanced Fuel Economy oil is the one that comes in 0-W30. The Extended Life Oil comes in 5W-30 I believe.

And Mobile 1 5W-30 is fully synthetic, it's not a semi-synthetic. The Mobil 1 website explains it all.

According to the material safety data sheet in countries requireing full disclosure, (MSDS) its < 30% PolyalphaOlifin. Oil Co's called refined mineral oil synthetic now. Evil BP (Castrol) started this name game in the early 90s. So Synpower, Syntec and M1 in the pop 5w-30 are not synthetic - and some of them have NO synthetic components. Dont trust anyone over 30 ;) and dont trust an oil co to tell you the TRUTH

I'm rather amazed at that. Back in the '60s and '70s, only high strung race engines put out that sort of power, and this one will also happily grunt uphill at 1400 RPM. And then along come young whippersnappers berating the Yaris for having no power!

My '92 Honda CBR 250RR makes 45hp stock @ 16500rpm. That's 180hp/L. But it only makes a lowly 18lb/f torque 12000rpm.

Yep. Motorcycles have put out some astounding specific power figures for a long time, by buzzing up to really high RPM by automotive standards.
