My first encouter with a H2 Hummer...
So im driving to work today through a residential neighborhood, just going the speed limit. I hear a honk, i look in the rear view, and its a huge H2 hummer. I see him wanting to pass me/take a left turn, i was gonna turn anyways so i engine brake to turn, i suppose he could have hit me from the side at his angle. After the turn its a decline, and with all that speed from a 40mph 90 deg turn i engine brake some more. One street later he passes me on a 2 lane road (1 in each direction), even though i was still going speed limit in residential 25mph. Does an abrupt U turn at an intersection and ..double parks (its a strictly 2 lane road)
That whole time im just thinking...he must be angry that i sip gas, and he guzzles it. lol and when he accelerated to pass me, i bet his inst. mpg went to 1. Talk about polar opposites in terms of size and mpg... Anyone else have some stories like that?

I saw the bugs on the grill of a Ford F350 this morning as I was driving to get the oil changed. Of course its 6:45am heading S on I35W toward FW (which means its steady but still congested a little.)
I used to get really pissy about agressive drivers.. But then I realized.. THey are the impatient and unreasonable ones.... Not me.. I just relax and cruise happily down the street... I love my Yaris..

the thing that got me was that, he believe me as an annoyance because i was driving the speed limit, but HE double parks and makes other people have to wait for opposing traffic to clear to pass him.

Typical SUV driver
I tend to be more passive-aggressive than many SUV drivers (someday I just know I'm gonna pay for it, but it's just so fun!). When they're tailing me I just ease-off the gas and slow down a little to give them the hint that they should go around. Then if there's slow traffic in the next lane I'll punch it while next to him and pass him up again. They usually stop acting like dicks after a couple times

^Let's just go all-out and build a KITT Yaris. We'll even get an angry Adam Sandler voice programmed into it

Why would you buy an H2 if you're not going to try to run people off the road with it and/or create roadblocks??

I remember hearing somewhere that that some of the Hummers were qualifiable purchases under the CfC program ... (maybe I imagined it)

In Colorado about 7 out of 10 cars is an SUV/Truck and people love to drive fast and reckless. I don't think I get any worse treatment driving the Yaris than I do when I drive the Jeep. People just can't stand being behind another vehicle around here. Tailgating in Colorado is a sport. |
