Pics of 2012 Prius "C" at dealer ...

The color is Habanero ( orange ? ) . It tends to grow on you . The price is $20,885 . The tires are the Bridgestone Turanza EL 400-02 ( review at http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...&filterType=oe ) . Also including the IQ that was at same dealer . We'd pick the "C" over the IQ . More bang for the buck and better gas mileage . Here are the pics :

The brake lights look hideous to me on the Prius C. Other than that, it looks great! Almost like a yaris hatchback...

I test drove the "C" and the ride was quieter and smoother. The mileage is super great but the interior and steering wheel design seemed a bit disappointing to me. With all it's hi tech dash displays there was no instantaneous mpg feature which is really dumb. I saw pictures of a mildly modified one with smoked head and tail lights that looked much better. Paying the difference to go from my Yaris LB to a C makes no sense financially. I can buy a lot of gas for the eleven grand I'd have to fork out to upgrade to a "C" now. Besides I really like the design of my classic '08 LB.

Hideous is the right word. Another 2012 Toyota that's ugly from every possible angle!

We had one in a week or two ago, and I sat in it while it was in for PDI. It must have more options because I seem to recall it was 23k ish. Freaking hideous tail lights.

overall...
meh.

My camera Ni-Mh batteries wear out in about two years. If priuses' Ni-Mh batteries are similar, in two years they might become a ballast rather than an engine (for most of the time).

I kind of like it. More of a hatchback look.

I don't know why anyone would buy a C over the original Prius. The Prius is only $2K more for the base model over the base C. Plus, they get the same combined mileage - 50 MPG (Prius does better on the highway, C does better in the city). Highway mileage is more important to most people as that is where most miles are done.

Plus, the Prius is far better looking and of course bigger. Toyota messed the C up badly - especially those tail lights. I wish we were getting the Yaris Hybrid!

Wow I have to say I actually love this car more than the 2012 Yaris. I am actually considering selling my '07 LB and getting this as I feel my car is starting to show it's age.

What do you guys think? I don't know if I could get a lot for my car though even if it's in good shape (I have 245,000km lol).

The Prius C is expanding like rabbits around here. I see way more of them on the road than of the 2012 Yaris.
