Its funny, I wanted to get the rs in the Grey Colour but I purchased my yaris when Japan got hit with that tsunami and all shipments on pre orders were cancelled for months so I took whatever rs 5 door 5 spd they had in stock which was the white. I wasn't a fan at first but it has grown on me.

Ultimately I said OK to it because it is almost identical in Colour to my bike. Pearl and all.

Still would like to find either JDM RS bumpers, or possibly do a 2009 S type ground effects. Gotta do some paint work, I've got clear coat pealing on the roof in a couple of spots and bumps and dings in various places all over.

Nice looking Yaris love the blue as for rims they look awesome I just find that they are on the heavy side ..around 21 lbs per rim :( tho look very nice.

The wheels are very heavy. I lost about 5 mile per gallon after I put them on, but on the upside, the car handles and stops sooooo much better. Can't wait to get the springs on, then it will be like driving a go cart.

Actually, they are DE Edge wheels. I bought them from a customer of mine for $200.00 new because they were discontinued, and he wanted to get them out of his inventory. Originally they were gold, but I stripped the gold off, and sprayed them with a GM silver base coat/clear. Not perfect, but I was please with how they came out. They are 17 X 7, 42 offset. I'm running 205/40zr17. I got the Tanabe red springs, but haven't put them on yet.

Very nice looking Yaris man, I like the black wheels, but I'm not a fan of the chrome door handles and the black accents on the body. Still jealous of your 4 doors though :biggrin: I'd love to see some coilovers on her along with some 16s! :w00t:

95 in a 70 (Montana, just outside Butte). $40 ticket. The 110 happened crossing Wyoming. I got the same ticket coming back from a meet in Seattle, just cresting the hill down into the Columbia river gorge to cross the bridge. That one was almost $500.

Trd springs and sportivo shocks. Gotta cusco frame brace mounted to. Big difference over stock with this set up. 4 15x7 Enkei RPF1 are in the mix next summer. The tire and wheels are not bad for aesthetic reasons but dont perform for what I intend.

the springs are 5k front and 3k rear. I may switch over to swift springs in the future but they are good for now. couldn't hurt to be a little stiffer if I decide to push the fitment more.

Here is a 2008 Yaris I bought and brought home over the weekend. Here also is the stream of oil it deposited all along the way.

Condensation is a real problem when parking a car for a long time in a cold and humid climate. In this case, the oil filter (a Fram) corroded during its long repose, weakening the walls of the casing. The filter split during my test drive (there was no oil leak when I first inspected the car), but there was no way of knowing that until the filter was off. As such, the seller took $3K for it instead of the $4K he was asking, and seemed very happy with the deal.

I drained one quart from the block when I got home. Incidentally, I brought a quart of oil with me when I took delivery of the car, and added it halfway home. Fortune favors the prepared.

This is a replacement for my beloved Chevy Metro, which I bought new in 1998. The Metro still runs great, but it's lived outside all its life and rust is becoming a major concern, so the time has come to sell while it is still a decent car. The Yaris won't get the gas mileage my Metro delivered, but I am hopeful that it will prove to be as dependable.

we dont get the sunroof or the side mirror lights/ reflectors here

we do get the center mount reverse light

They're indicators and I believe the rear fog light is is required by law here in the UK so seems Toyota has designed an alternative by splitting the light, one side reverse light, the other side rear fog light.

Much prefer the look of the center revers light though.

Yes sir! I think since this pic I've added Realcamber -5° shims, front camber bolts set to -2°, the header, cold air intake, and full custom built catback with resonator delete. Ill be replacing the cats with high flow cats soon and swapping to 1zz throttle body when I have my manifold ported. It's that ominous rubber Ebay lip that comes in a variety of names and prices :P
I just folded the edges up into the wheel well instead of cutting them off flush like most people generally would.
It's grown on me :P

The plastic engine and fusebox cover I had sprayed properly with red gloss. :)

The gas door cover is real carbon fiber and can be found on eBay I think I paid $50?? Don't remember but it takes like 3 weeks because they are made by order. Rear tow hook is the darkstar tow hook also eBay special lmao. I'm running 25mm spacers in the rear and -5° camber plates from real camber.com. the wheels sit similar to +15 offset so I assume that's prob what they are Idk I bought them lightly used and they are Bassett Racing steelies. The flares are meh i busted them up a bit since they are fiberglass I'm replacing them soon with flares from clinchedflares.com. I'm lowered on Tein Street Basis coilovers that I got from Victor out in California I'm not sure his username on here since I'm more active on the facebook yaris groups for worldwide and USA. It is odd indeed. You are not really allowed to have anything sticking out beyond the bumpers. So a tow hook like this would stick out beyond the bumpers so it's illegal.

But i don't get what the reason behind this rule is, because it i can legally have a trailer hitch sticking beyond the bumpers, but not a tow hook.

Car has eBay intake and springs in the pic, just added TRD rear sway bar.

Next auto cross event is soon can't wait to see how the bar feels, only gone around on ramps and stuff so far. Not much for twisty roads in central OK here lol.

We have 3 different sized number plates and it cost about $10 to make including the frame. It's probably for a bike but our laws aren't really strict about that :)

Because I can't find or make the eyelids everyone has, I used black insulation tape and just stuck two pieces straight on there to give it the angry eyebrow look. It shines like plasti-dip, weather resistant and I can remove it and change the angle (which I will do 'cause the angle is slightly too extreme still).

Bottom grill I sprayed black (you can still see it in the accident pic). Afterwards I just sprayed over it again with plasti-dip and used the same insulation tape to smooth the edges and just followed the natural lines of the bumper to the bottom. Looks sweet in the photo but I will eventually redo it properly.

The lack of aftermarket bits is apparent :laugh:
