I'm with alhope34.

I think the highways should allow the cars to go as fast as safely possible. Granted speed kills, but you're probably more likely to get yourself killed while crossing the sidewalk on McCowan Rd then doing over 50+ on the 400 series while in-between cities (assuming you're a responsible driver and know how to handle the speeds). It sucks when you require 8hr to do a trip when your car can easily do it in 4hrs. If going fast was such a problem, why don't we freaking get rid of all the cars and go back to bicycles. (in which case, I'd have the fastest bicycle around and would be in awsome shape....I'm all for it)
