+1 for the winters. That being said, have them mounted on their own dedicated rims. This way you can put them on yourself and do it right before the first big snow fall or when Temps are consistently be zero and then remove them when Temps start to hover above 5 degrees in the day time.
I do this and the winter tires last ridiculously long since they're only used in below freezing temps. On a light car like the Yaris winter tires make is invincible in the snow in regards to control. I was taught to drive in big heavy sedans w/ all seasons and i'm glad I was, but I light car w/ winters on is a great set up and we'll worth it if you travel on congested roads w/ people not paying attention
