Nothing missing there, they will become visible on ATE calipers on that side when the pads and discs gets thinner.
But it looks like you are missing some lubrication both on the sliders and the pads were they shall move on the bracket.
Use ATE plastilube or a similar product, never copper grease it will destroy the rubber parts.
There is a spilt drawing here of the caliper.

It could also be these that is worn bacause of missing lubrication, then the calipers can tilt a little and then you can get that kind of uneven wear.

And yes the rear disc brakes on the yaris is a PIA that requires a lot of maintence especially with the climate in denmark.
I´m glad only one of my two yaris has rear disc brakes
