Pretty much. It's -3 here. I guess that's not as bad as some other places (cough cough, Wisconsin).
But my windows/windshield keep frosting on the inside as I'm driving to work. And no amount of heat will stop them from doing it. So, really hard to see.
What's the weather like down there?
Also, I'm trying to be a traitor and get a car that ISN'T going to kill me before winter is over. I'm sorry, but these cars are not good at all in the snow/ice.

I'm just freezing in the office, trying to find something to stay busy with, since I am almost done with this week's project and also done updating my other requests. Every day this week has felt like a thursday to me, not sure why, but at least it's a long weekend so hopefully I'll get some sleep. Nothing new with my yaris, still can't afford to do any mods or upgrades to it.

I doubt it will happen. Not many Yaris's around here and probably for a good reason. Everyone's got the 4x4 trucks/Jeeps. Still, I would like to get something AWD and reliable.

just took dog out and is -7 degrees . After that went in garage and is 13 degrees , about a 20 degree difference . Last night set the tires on the '08 sedan to 34 and 1/4 and are now at 32 p.s.i. . I think if the temps jumped above 35 degrees the tires would read 36 p.s.i. or a bit higher when checked cold . Astounding how the air in the tires condense .

Found out today that some company has been drawing out $12 monthly from my debit account for the last 9 months... $108 bucks down the drain..... They (Reservation Rewards) have been reported by many people for scamming them... they run the scam by creating popups that mimic the website you are at saying that they will do a $10 off coupon if you submit your email for updates from the original website.... then they take the deatils you just entered to purchase something and use that in a binding subscription to "food, dining, and flight discounts".
websites associated with the scam company:
fandango
etix
pizzahut
EB games
Gamestop
orbits
moviephone

Are you looking for the old-school one with the round headlights? Cause there is one for sale down here. I think they're asking 2000.

Yuck. That's no good for Georgia. At least in Ohio it's almost always cold, so we're halfway used to it. Just not this cold usually.

Anyone else in cold weather having problems with the clutch pedal sticking? I keep having to wait a few seconds before I give to gas to go because it is staying on the floor and just free revs. The pedal seems really stiff when I'm pushing it to the floor.

Not sure, but I'm garageless for the winter. So I guess I'll have to deal with it.
I've emailed two dealers with WRX's so far, hoping for the best. I honestly HATE this car now just because of how it drives in the snow.

I don't mind driving in the snow with it. I actually think it handles really well for such a small, light car.

NEVER have I been sideways, and I've barely fishtailed...the only issue I ever have is getting a grip from a stop...which might be helped if I actually had snow tires.
Of course, I've been driving almost as long as Ryan has been ALIVE.

As long as you owe less than its worth you're good. If not, you'll roll that debt into the payments on your next car, and you generally don't want to do that.
Well, I'm sure I owe more on it than it's worth. I owe a little over $12,000 still because of that deer.

Base MSRP on the '08 695 is 8 and change. That really isn't TOO bad.
which is shared with the brake fluid ( same resorvoir ) . I believe it's DOT 3 . Changing to a synthetic brake fluid ( DOT 4 , Valvoline syn. B.F. , etc. ) could help that situation much like synthetic gear oil for better cold shifting . TAKE CARE  .

I called Jiffy Lube, the one I go to for my oil changes and they don't stock the synthetic gear oil the Yaris needs. (at least that's what the guy said..) So, later, I'm going to call the dealership and ask about switching to the synthetic brake and gear oils...Toyota won't void my warranty by switching? Not sure why they would, but just thought I would ask!
used synthetic brake fluid for clutch of the 2000 CHEVY Prizm ( Corolla ) and made a difference in pedal action . That had a resorvoir for clutch and brakes . Used an animal feeding syringe with clear plastic hose slipped over one end to suck ( draw ) out the old brake fluid and gradually replaced it with the synthetic until the bottle of synthetic brake fluid was gone . Also did the same for brake fluid . That made for better braking . Was doing a motor route at that time , many stops .

go to or call NAPA and other auto parts stores for AMSOIL MTG , REDLINE MT-90 , etc.. You'll need 2 quarts of gear oil , I'm sure dealer would install it for less than $50 . Remember to use a GL-4 gear oil . GOOD LUCK
KCALB , you could get your son and yourself a terrible towel for his birthday and use them during the game . Or pick up some yellow oil rags at auto parts store / dollar store and hand them out to son and all that come to his party . That way use as napkins , then rewash to use during the football game . Happy Birthday to the little tyke  . Signed : SHAGGY the oil dude  .
