Oh no..can't be late because of a little snow. I left early, in fact. There were a lot of folks who didn't remember to slow down before slamming on their breaks at stop lights, but other than that, it was ok. I *love* having manual transmission in the winter. =)

I don't know, on a forum with all kinds of people it has to go both ways...those posting have to show SOME restraint and compassion for others but I can also choose to read, not read, respond or not respond...but it's a personal thing. Maybe she just hit her limit. It really is too bad..she was a great member and her car is badass and would put a lot of the other Yarii to shame..which is the reason we are all here to begin with.

I don't mind going to the dentist, as long as I can get something accomplished there. I hate american dentists, first they ignore you, then when you finally get to talk to someone at their office they make you wate 2/3 months for an appointment, just to find out that on the day of your appointment (if they didn't reschedule it) they won't do anything, all they will do is look at your teeth and charge you for that, and tell you that even though you have cavities that need to be fixed, they won't do it until they do a cleaning, which of course you'll have to wait another month or 2 to get. When the time for the cleaning comes, they will only do half of your mouth and tell you to come another day to do the other half, and if they really want to screw with your head, they'll tell you they don't take your insurance anymore, so either you have to pay an arm and a leg to get that cavity fixed or go to another dentist and start all over again.

I miss the days when I could call my family dentist and say "I'll be there next thursday (or even saturday)" and getting there, waiting for a reasonable amount of time (without filling any forms or telling your whole life story) and getting my teeth fixed or cleaned. I hate american dentists.

Question: Does anyone know if a helmet that is Snell 2005 approved would also be considered DOT approved as well? In order to compete in AutoX or drag events, do those criterions need to be stated ON the helmet?

Are you talking about motorcycle racing or auto racing?

SCCA requires that helmets meet Snell ratings for their sanctioned autocross races. I had bought my GF a DOT motorcycle helmet and they would not permit it in the event. She had to borrow a grimy helmet from the loaner bin.:thumbdown:
