Testing my 4 gig of pc memory as it puts garbled lines across the screen for some reason. Anyone know why?

sounds like bad RAM... if your machine is overclocked, clock it down to stock.

If it isn't, try adding one stick at a time to sort out the bad one. Unless you got just one 4gb stick, if that's the case, send it back and ask for a refund

ITs 2 x 2GB DDR2 667MHz sticks. Computer is not overclocked. I think it may be bad ram, it does it with one of the sticks and not the other one. I'm just testing it all again and i'll see how i go. If it keeps it up i will take the bad stick back and get another one.

It was bad ram. One of the 2 GB DDR2 667MHz sticks was the cause of the problems. I just exchanged it and now problems now. All is good.

South Carolina has some great pluses. I am near Columbia in the center of the state. About 2 - 3 hours to the beach and 2 - 3 hours to the mountains. 3 hours to Atlanta. 1 1/2 hours to Charlotte.

Winter is great (although it is suppose to be 20 tonight - NOT Typical). Now summer is hot and humid. We can start swimming about April all the way until the end of Sept.

I have lived other places, but can not imagine Ohio, Wisconsin, Vermont, etc. I am sure I don't even own a "real" coat at least not by your standards. My girls are still wearing their rainbows.

Why do you think so many people move South? NC, SC, GA they are all great choices.

You guys may think differently in late summer when it hits 104 to 110 regularly. Granted, I'm only talking about the San Fernando Valley. In the L.A. basin, the temps are more moderate.

Youngest daughter is seeing a guy studying to be a Navy nuke. I think he's going the carrier route though.

There really is only one James Bond for me - Sean Connery. He was a rough hard assed guy who probably liked guns and was definitely into bar room brawls. He also said that women need "a good backhand now and then to keep them in line" - something I can understand but not approve of doing.

The current James Bond hates firearms. That's his choice but one wonders why a person who hates gun plays James Bond. That's like asking a gay man to do a movie scene with a woman, it's kind of insincere.

I agree, nobody will be as good as Sean Connery was as Bond. Pierce Brosnan was ok, better than the current Bond. At least he was suave and sophisticated. (something that Connery was, along with being a badass) Maybe it's the blonde hair/blue eyes that throw me off, or how soft-spoken he is...he just doesn't fit.

I look at Rob Zombie movies as art..really..the way he incorporates old footage, classic horror movie themes, with his sick demented twist on them. The movie was definitely GROSS and disturbing, not for those with a weak stomach but I *love* a good scare and I jumped a few times. That's what should make a horror movie, a horror movie. Oh, and that use of music! Like when he added that Buck Owens (yes, Hee Haw, Buck Owens) song, Who's Gonna Mow Your Grass, when the police arrived at that gas station/freak museum. I'll never hear that song the same again!

I'm going to watch the sequel tonight (The Devil's Rejects). It's supposed to be just as disturbing. lol

But for now, we just finished a nice Sunday morning breakfast. I made yummy french toast, etc...the girls loved it. :thumbup:

Well...... no. I have been seeing tons of deer but they enacted new rules and you can not take a spike horn and that is all I have been seeing. Today I saw 7 deer and 2 were spikes. Yesterday I saw 18 deer and 4 were spikes.

It just gives me a chance to relax.

The secret is I have been driving my 3/4 ton truck. One of these days I will drive my Yaris and that will be tha day I get a decent buck.

Good news...

mine went out one time and took it back to Best Buy because I purchased the service agreement for it. I was without a flipping vacuum for a month! Not good with kiddos in the house. I had to borrow my neighbors once a week. What a pain...
